My desire to help others began at an early age and became my reason for becoming an educator. I was blessed to be a part of the education profession for 22 years, first as a high school classroom teacher, and then as Director of Career and Technical Education. Collaborating with parents and students for the best post-secondary personal and financial choices always filled me with great joy! 

My husband and I were not immune to the challenges of money problems and the trials and errors in finding solutions for permanent lasting financial security and freedom. We were tired of the collection calls, the overdue notices, and trying not to overdraft our bank account, all while tyring to provide for two growing boys. The first step on this journey happend we when stregthened our relationship wth God. It wasn't until we both communicated and admitted to each other that we needed to change our thinking, as well as physical and emotional behaviors about money, that the second step of actual change occured. The new mindset we had about how to handle money came from reading and learning how not to do everything only halfway, make the committment and be determined to follow through. Being debt free is spiritually liberating and eliminates so much stress in life! This is the reason for my philosophy  a person needs the mindset of "Your Money, Your Peace."

It is my prayer this journey will be one of learning, growing, finding grace while working to achieve your dreams and having the peace of being financially free from debt. 

I believe it was very logical to transition to financial coaching. I received training through the Financial Coach Master Training program by Ramsey Solutions, and have lead Financial Peace University online classes.  The Lord blessed and my classes were able to pay off $139,635.00 of debt, save $17,819.00, and cut up 36 credit cards! Being in control of your money and creating a financial roadmap that fits you and your family gives you peace, and this emotion needs to be a priority as life is already filled with enough complications.
